Welcome to Regnbågsdalen Café & Guesthouse

Regnbågsdalen Café & Guesthouse and Grocerystore is situated in Ingatorp, in the middle of Småland's Highlands and in Astrid Lindgren's and Albert Engström's childhood climes.

We offer you a comfortable and charming accommodation in a completely renovated part of our house. If you rent one of our rooms and share kitchen and toilet with those living in the other room. Both rooms are newly renovated and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with all household items that might be needed and with stove, microwave and fridge/freezer. And of course we have WiFi.

In our Café you can enjoy coffee and tea, sandwiches, light meals and pastries etc. and a peaceful atmosphere where we let the countryside face the city. All of this under the same roof in a beautiful house built in 1921. Feel free to spend lazy summerdays in our large, partially secluded garden.

Three-minutes walk from us you find a small lake with a sandy beach, playground and barbecue area. A walk on the trail around the lake, is a scenic experience and you can see the church of Ingatorp, reflect its peculiar steeples in the still water. The church became 1997 elected as Sweden's most beautiful church. Here you also find the oldest wooden building in Sweden, Tiondeboden, built in the early 13th century. Just behind the church you can see the top of Valbacken, from which one has a stunning view over the countryside.

The almost 20-mile-long Highland trail passes here on its way down to Ingatorp and passes by Regnbågsdalen Café & Guesthouse. Here can happily tired hikers enjoy hot chocolate with whipped cream, small dishes and a warm and nice atmosphere.

If you like fishing, the surrounding area offers a lot of good fishing lakes. Fishing licenses can be purchased in our Grocerystore. Canoeing is another popular recreational pleasure. An agricultural museum with a unique collection of engines, semi-diesel, a church museum and a gigantic second hand store market is maybe of interest for you.
